Is to provide exceptional chiropractic and massage care for animals. I am passionate about the benefits of an holistic approach to animal welfare, particularly for older animals and farm animals, enhancing their quality of life through effective treatments.
I am fully insured and hold an MSc in Animal Manipulation (with Distinction), alongside a BSc (Hons) in a related field. My qualifications are further supported by specialist training in holistic saddle fitting, myofascial release therapy and a certificate in canine specific advanced adjustments.
My equestrian journey began at a very young age, and over the years I've gained hands-on experience across a diverse range of disciplines—including racing, polo, equine welfare, and competitive show jumping. My expertise in saddle fitting plays a vital role in my equine assessments, allowing me to approach each case with a comprehensive understanding of biomechanics and comfort.
Beyond my passion for horses, I share my life with four wonderful dogs: a graceful whippet and three spirited lurchers. I was raised in a household brimming with canine energy, from terriers to Labradors and Springer Spaniels to German Shepherds, and just about every breed in between. This gave me a natural ease with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. My hands-on experience deepened during time working in a small animal veterinary practice, where I developed a calm, confident approach to animal handling that blends empathy with practical skill. This is further enhanced by canine specific advanced adjustment techniques and myofascial release.
I’m also deeply passionate about farm animal welfare, which led me to focus my MSc dissertation on sheep!
I practise the McTimoney technique, a gentle and effective method of chiropractic care originally developed in the early 1950s for humans and later adapted for animals. This approach focuses on improving joint mobility—particularly in the spine and pelvis—by stimulating rapid muscular contractions followed by relaxation. This process supports optimal nervous system function, which in turn contributes to overall health and wellbeing.
Because of its light-touch application, the technique is readily accepted by animals and offers a valuable complementary therapy that works harmoniously alongside conventional veterinary care.
